WHY should you do telemedicine?
Even though we prefer to see you face to face here’s an important reason why telemedicine is a good option at this moment:
As you know, we have been proactively trying to help flatten the curve of COVID-19. One of the problems with COVID-19 is the overwhelming effect it will have on our hospital system in treating those with severe illness and trauma. One of the ways our office can help, is by helping those of you with foot and ankle problems so we do not overload the ER, urgent cares or your Primary Medical Doctor.
WHAT can be done with telemedicine?
- Follow up visits
- Medication questions, refills and adjustments
- Lab and test results
- General questions such as:
- Tendonitis
- Top of foot pain
- Ball of foot pain
- Big toe joint pain
- Heel pain
- Ankle sprains
- Other aches and pains of the feet and ankles
- Running and other sport injuries
- Plantar fasciitis
- Toe pain
- Fungal nails
If we determine a problem to be urgent, we will be able to get you into our office for x-rays or hands on treatment.
HOW does a telemedicine appointment work and HOW do I make an appointment?
1. Schedule a telemedicine appointment with your doctor by calling us at 530-891-3338 (891-FEET).
2. We will send you an email or text invitation for a video visit via Zoom.us.
3. At the appointed time you will log-in using the link in the email or text you received.
⁃ You can use your smartphone, tablet, or laptop/desktop (if it is equipped with a camera).
⁃ You will have a remote face-to-face consultation with your doctor…and sometimes face-to-foot as we may ask you to show us your foot!
