Cole M. Hembre, DPM, AACFAS
As a Redding native, Dr. Cole Hembre takes great pride in treating and caring for the people of the Northstate. Growing up in Redding, Dr. Hembre attended Foothill High School where he played football and basketball.
Dr. Hembre then attended Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa. There he continued his athletic journey, playing 4 seasons for the BCU football program and starting at center for 3 of those seasons. After completing his bachelor’s degree, he then attended Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores, Florida, earning his doctorate of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Hembre then completed a three-year surgical residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Fl, training in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, including orthopedic trauma, reconstructive surgery, plastic surgery, limb salvage, and wound care. After the completion of his residency, Dr. Hembre completed a one-year fellowship in orthopedic trauma and sports medicine at Wittels Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center in Bay Harbor Islands, Fl. There he trained in all aspects of orthopedic trauma and sports medicine with a focus on foot and ankle pathologies. He then worked as an associate at Wittels Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center, participating in a very active orthopedic trauma call at a level 2 trauma center. Dr. Hembre practiced there for 4 years before deciding to return to his hometown of Redding.
When not working, Dr. Hembre enjoys hunting, fishing, and anything else he can do in the outdoors. He and his wife Kristine (also a Redding native) enjoy running Spartan races together and spending time with their two dogs.
