Dr. Hayley Ennis is a Chico native. Dr. Ennis was active in the community from a young age, volunteering at Enloe Hospital and being active in sports. She had a particular love for basketball. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and graduated from the California School of Podiatric Medicine (CSPM) with a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM). Dr. Ennis completed a three-year reconstructive foot and ankle surgery residency. The first two years were in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center, also serving the active duty military at Kirtland Air Force Base. Her third year was then completed at the Sacramento area Kaiser hospitals.
Dr. Ennis received a well rounded clinical and surgical training with emergency room, inpatient hospital, and outpatient clinical experience. She is fortunate to have extensive foot and ankle trauma, limb salvage, and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery training including the treatment of Charcot Neuroarthropathy. She is also experienced in pediatric deformities including pediatric flatfoot, coalitions, and clubfoot.
Dr. Ennis has contributed to multiple publications, conducted research, and has presented at several conferences. She continues to enjoy volunteering and has dedicated time to the Homeless Outreach through Prevention and Education (HOPE) Mobility Fair, and with the Special Olympics of Northern California – Fit Feet Program, among others.
In addition to her training, Dr. Ennis is a particularly special addition to the NFAS team. While in college, Dr. Ennis shadowed Dr. Pasamonte for a summer to help determine what career she wanted to pursue and it was this time that made her fall in love with podiatry. She is now returning to join our NFAS family.
Outside of work, her hobbies include any outdoor activity including snow skiing, hiking, paddle boarding, and boating as well as any adventure with her little dog. She has a passion for traveling and learning about different cultures and parts of the world. She loves spending time with her family and friends and is enjoying being an aunt to her niece and nephews.
Dr. Ennis’ professional goal is to have a fulfilling surgical career treating each patient as she would want her family treated. As a Chico native, she is passionate about making a positive impact on the community that shaped her.
